		<description>Layers2005

Digital print
48" x 69"

Outdoor performance at a freeway construction site documented outside of Columbus, Ohio in 1998. Subsequent images of strata from personal photographs taken at different sites from around the world were added and layered on top of one another to reveal this imagined and newly reconfigured geological cross-section of the earth. The digital print is printed the same length as the artists' height and armspan.

		<description>Kuya: Inhale to exhale2004

Digital print
Each image is 18" x 40"

Impromptu outdoor performance documented at Slowinski National Park between Leba and Rowy, Poland. This piece utilizes only the natural-yet-dramatic perspective from the valley and peaks of the sand dunes to create a homage to the famous sculpture Kuya Preaching by Japanese artist Kosho. The "moving sand dunes" were the background to this documented performance. The sand dunes move about 3 to 10 meters per year. This movement of the dunes uncovers dead trees and fossilized remains of an ancient forest buried underneath. Moving in a circular fashion, the sand dunes slowly swallow up the surrounding forest while at the same time revealing new areas for new life and growth.
