Join sculptor and environmental artist Olga Ziemska in a personalized, hands-on sculpture workshop at her studio in Downtown Cleveland. This workshop is designed for individuals looking to explore the creative process of sculpting, whether you're a beginner or have prior experience. All are welcome!
In this immersive workshop, you’ll design, build, and refine your sculpture. From initial concept to final completion, you’ll receive one-on-one mentorship and the tools needed to bring your creative vision to life.
This workshop is perfect for students looking to develop their art portfolio for BFA or MFA applications, as well as for artists working in other mediums or simply the sculpture-curious. It provides one-on-one mentorship, an opportunity to professionally document your completed work, and a portfolio-ready sculpture.
This workshop includes six sessions, where you will explore materials, techniques, and the creative process, and receive personalized one-on-one feedback.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:Concept & Design: Brainstorming and planning session to develop your idea, consider different materials, and sketch your sculpture design.
Material Selection & Techniques: Choose your materials, learn the sculpting process for those materials, and begin building your sculpture.
Structure & Form: Continue to build the shape and structure of your sculpture.

Detailing & Finishing: Focus on texture, surface treatments, and environmental elements.
Final Presentation & Documentation: Complete your sculpture, receive one-on-one feedback, and professionally document your work in the studio or outdoors.
You can work with a variety of sculpting materials such as concrete, plaster, wood, metal, and found objects. Material choice is flexible, however, we encourage using natural materials found in nature, recycled or reclaimed—many of which can be sourced locally and for free!
These are individual one-on-one or small class sizes of only under 8 people, designed for personalized attention, so spaces are very limited.
WHAT IS INCLUDED:Use available sculpting tools, workspace, and storage for your project while it is in progress.
Access to discounted materials from the studio’s inventory.
Opportunity to professionally document your work with photos and videos in the studio gallery space using a professional lighting kit.
SCHEDULE:Classes will take place every Saturday for six consecutive weeks, starting on June 21, 2025
Classes are 3.5 hours and run from 1 PM - 4:30 PM each Saturday.
MATERIAL FEES:$0 - $50+ depending on material selection.
Participants will choose their materials to work with, and costs may vary based on selection.
The studio encourages using natural, recycled, or reclaimed materials, many of which can be sourced locally and for free.
Some discounted materials will be available through the studio’s inventory.

⚠️ Important Safety Information
This workshop can involve tools such as power tools and exposure to dust, which may pose a risk of injury if not used properly. Participants will receive a safety briefing and necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participation. A signed waiver is required at registration.

1. No Refund Policy
Please note that all workshop registrations are final, and no refunds will be issued for cancellations or no-shows.2. Transfers to Another Individual
If you are unable to attend the workshop, you may transfer your registration to another individual. To do so, please notify us at least 48 hours before the workshop start date with the name and contact details of the person who will be attending in your place. Transfers are not permitted after this time.3. Applying Workshop Cost to a Future Workshop
If you are unable to attend the workshop and do not wish to transfer your spot to another individual, you may apply the full cost of the original workshop to a future workshop. This option is available provided the following conditions are met:You inform us at least 48 hours before the scheduled workshop that you will not be able to attend.
The cost can only be applied to a future workshop of equal or lesser value.
The credit must be used within 12 months from the original workshop date. After 12 months, the credit will expire.
4. Workshop Cancellations by Us
In the rare event that we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, weather), you will have the option to transfer to a different session or apply the cost to a future workshop. We will notify you of any cancellations at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.If minimum enrollment is not met for a workshop, we may cancel the class 7 days prior to the scheduled date and will issue a full refund to all registered participants.
