“OF THE EARTH” RE-INSTALLED: Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition Now on View at Ortenstone Gardens + SCULPTURE PARK IN MINNESOTA
Artist Olga Ziemska’s newly reinstalled outdoor sculpture exhibition, OF THE EARTH, is now on view at Ortenstone Gardens & Sculpture Park in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The exhibition will run from June 10, 2025 through June 10, 2026.
Installed throughout the landscape are three large-scale sculptures that respond to the unique landscape and layout of the grounds. Each work is positioned in conversation with the natural environment and the other artworks, guiding visitors through the park along a quiet, intuitive path. A fourth sculpture, initiated during Ziemska’s recent month-long artist residency at Ortenstone, will be completed and installed in the fall of 2025.
The exhibition was made possible through the invitation and support of Project 412, along with an incredible team of collaborators and many generous volunteers. Materials for the sculptures—all locally gathered tree branches—were sourced and provided by a community member.
Ziemska reflects, “To see these sculptures placed in a setting so close to what I originally envisioned—it’s something truly magical.”
